Dr. Downey participate in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons National database created to monitor and compare outcomes with both regional and national centers.

Cardiac surgery patients at our hospital experience a significantly lower mortality, stroke risk, heart attack, infection, and kidney failure than reported data for both regional and national programs.

We work closely with primary care physicians to provide timely and accurate reporting of each patient’s progress immediately after surgery and throughout the course of treatment.

The goal of our team is to provide optimal surgical outcomes for patients with disorders of the heart, blood vessels, lungs, and other organs amenable to modern surgical therapies.
